Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba recently visited the construction site of the Talanta Sports City and expressed satisfaction with the project’s advancement.
Namwamba, during his inspection, conveyed optimism regarding the stadium’s readiness by December 2025, in time for the CAF inspections.
The Talanta Sports City holds significant importance in Kenya’s infrastructure development agenda, especially as the nation gears up to co-host the AFCON ‘27 football tournament alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
“Looking at the pace of work going on here, no doubt that we are well within our timelines. I’m very confident that Talanta Sports City is well on track for our December 2025 target to test it ahead of AFCON 2027,” he remarked.
