Taylor Swift’s dad, Scott Swift, is being investigated by Australian police after a photographer claimed he was assaulted by him.
Ben McDonald, 51, said Scott Swift, 71, hit his face on a wharf in Sydney early Tuesday.
The incident reportedly occurred shortly after Scott Swift and his famous daughter got off a boat and were met by photographers.
Fortunately, McDonald didn’t require medical attention, according to police.
Scott Swift hasn’t spoken publicly about the accusation.
In a video released by Australian media, Taylor Swift, hidden under an umbrella, is seen walking with her father and security guards along Neutral Bay Wharf around 2:30 am local time.
Flashes of cameras can be seen before two voices—believed to be a photographer and a guard—accuse each other of touching umbrellas.
It’s not clear if the alleged assault is captured in the footage.
The singer had just wrapped up her immensely popular Eras tour with another sold-out show in Australia.
“The younger man reported the incident, and inquiries are now underway by officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command,” stated New South Wales Police.
