Three people died after being involved in a road accident at Maili Saba area along Kitale- Eldoret highway.
The victims were traveling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding truck, police said.
The truck then crushed the three including a student who was headed to school in the July 3 incident.
The student of St. Anthony Boys School, Kitale, was heading back to school when the incident happened.
The rider, John Odinga Yamo, 32 first lost control of the motorcycle before he landed on the tarmac with his two pillion passengers and were both run over by the axle of a truck.
Police are investigating the incident.
Fatal accidents have been on the rise amid a campaign to address the menace.
Last week, 53 people were killed after a truck driver lost control and knocked up to 10 vehicles before landing on a market full of traders.
Dozens of others are nursing wounds in hospital.
National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) statistics released on June 29, show 2,124 people have died in accidents since January 2023.
Most affected were passengers at 729 and motorcyclists at 561.
