Police are investigating an incident in which some offices at the Mombasa County Assembly were broken into and documents and equipment were stolen.
The incident was discovered Monday, March 13 morning by security officials who were reporting.
Several offices were broken into and vandalized, and documents and equipment were stolen by the burglars, police said.
Key among those stolen was the IT CPU components which were picked from the finance office, police said.
Police experts arrived at the scene and processed it as part of the probe into the incident.
No arrest or recovery has been made so far.
The motive of the incident is also yet to be known but investigations are ongoing, police said.
Meanwhile, Nyali Member of Parliament (MP) Mohamed Ali Tuesday said unknown people are after his life following an attack in his NGCDF offices in Nyali, Mombasa.
In social media posts, Ali shared photos of broken windows that show a bullet might have passed through them saying this was the fifth time he has been targeted.
“Yet again, for the fifth time, there has been an attack on my office. This a clear indication that the person/people behind this attempt on my life are relentless to take me down. What they forget is, no human being can take the life of another except by the will of God,” he said in the posts.
Police visited the scene on Tuesday afternoon and declared investigations are ongoing.
