Police are looking for a gang that raided a church compound in Ruiru town, Kiambu County, and raped a woman during a robbery mission.
The gang went to the PAG church compound in the Embassy area on Monday, July 3 morning after forcefully gaining entry there.
They then found a couple in a house within the compound and beat up the man before tying him using a rope.
According to police, the gang of two tied the man and woman separately before they hit the husband in the head using a metal bar.
They then dragged the woman to the bed and raped her in turns and later demanded the keys to the main church where they stole a microphone, a TV set, an amplifier, two mobile phones, a mattress, and two gas cylinders.
The woman was later rushed to a local hospital for attention.
The man was too taken to the hospital for attention.
Police say no arrest has been made so far and efforts to trace the gang are ongoing.

Elsewhere in Ongata Rongai, police are looking for a gang that raided a home and injured a guard on duty.
The gang also robbed the family of cash and valuables.
Police said a motorist was driving home and while at his gate within Kimandiro area, he was accosted by two men, one armed with a pistol and the other armed with a metal bar.
The watchman opened the gate and the two thugs followed him and attacked both of them.
They then proceeded to the house where they stole two laptops and two mobile phones after which they disappeared into the dark thicket, police said.
The guard was taken to hospital as the hunt on the gang goes on.
