In a devastating incident on Monday morning, four lives were lost and nine individuals were injured when a 14-seater matatu collided with a larger 60-seater bus on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway in the Hill Tea Area.
The tragic accident occurred at around 5 a.m., with reports indicating that the matatu, carrying 16 passengers, collided with the bus.
The casualties included the matatu’s driver and three passengers, all of whom lost their lives in the collision.

Nine other passengers sustained severe injuries and were promptly admitted to the Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital for medical attention.
Following the incident, the bodies of the deceased were respectfully transported to the Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital mortuary.
