Police are investigating the death of two children in separate incidents in Nairobi.
In the first incident, a child aged about two years was found dead in their house.
The parents of the child took the body to Muthangari police station on June 30 and told the officers there the child was beaten and bitten to death by an evil spirit.
The child’s body had bruises all over, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending probe and autopsy.
In the Gatina area, Riruta, a five-month-old baby was found dead in bed with the house girl missing.
The mother of the minor told police she had left the baby with a house girl and left for work.
She later received a call from a neighbor who informed her the child was sick and on arrival, she found her dead.
The child did not have any visible marks and the cause of the death is yet to be known, police said.
A probe into the incident is ongoing.
Elsewhere, police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on the roadside in Kasarani area, Nairobi.
The body of the man aged about 30 was found half naked lying with injuries on the head.
It is suspected the victim was murdered at the scene on July 1 night when the body was found.
A probe is ongoing, police said.
