Students of Nairobi University will have an opportunity to bid farewell to the late Prof. George Magoha on February 8, 2023, as a series of funerals events start before his burial on February 11.
Magoha served in UoN as a vice chancellor for 10 years.
On the same day, the farewell caravan will proceed to the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council Headquarters, the Nigerian High Commission, St. George’s Primary School, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Offices along
Dennis Pritt Road, State House Girls High School, and Starehe Boys Centre.
A requiem mass will be held at the Consolata Shrine, Westlands at 9 am on February 10.
From Nairobi, the body of the late will first arrive at Township Primary School, Yala, at 1 pm, before a procession leading up to St Mary’s Secondary School, Yala, and subsequently, a holy mass to follow at his home in Umiru Nyamninia on February 10.
On the last day, February 11, his funeral mass will take place at Odera Akang’o University campus in Yala from 10 am.
“Further to our last update on the funeral arrangements of Prof. George Magoha, the family wishes to inform Kenyans that the former Education Cabinet Secretary will be laid to rest at his home in Umiru Nyamninia, Yala, on February 11, 2023,”
