President William Ruto has shed light on why he often speaks to crowds from the top of his car, attributing the practice to his background as an evangelist.
Addressing a gathering in Bungoma County, Ruto shared that during his years as an evangelist, he would stand in elevated positions to amplify his message, a habit that has persisted into his political career.
“I am an evangelist, and many people question why I sometimes address crowds from high places or the top of a car.
It’s because this practice, developed during my time as an evangelist, has carried over into my current role,” Ruto explained.
The President also reaffirmed his commitment to return to evangelism after his presidency ends.
“I have promised that once my time in office is over, I will go back to my true calling as an evangelist,” he said.
In recent times, Ruto has faced criticism from some Kenyans who view his extensive travels and public addresses from elevated positions as early campaigning efforts.
Despite the backlash, Ruto remains steadfast in his approach and future plans.
