Detectives are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old girl whose body was Sunday found stuffed in a paper bag off Thika Road, Nairobi.
The woman was stabbed and chopped to death in an apartment along TRM Drive, Thika Road, police said.
Police said they are yet to know the motive of the incident.
The incident happened at Green House Apartment House B1. A man whose identity was not revealed had on
Saturday booked the room and walked in with the deceased woman.
Come Sunday morning, he left alone, the caretaker at the apartment said adding he returned the key to the receptionist.

The caretaker went to check on the house and found some blood traces leading to the room.
Therein, he said the house was empty. The female occupant who had come with the man was missing.
He said he followed the blood stain traces which led him to a dustbin collection point where he and other neighbors discovered the remains of a person which prompted her to call the police.
The body had been dismembered and put in a polythene paper.
Police said the woman had been chopped into pieces and the body stuffed into a paper.
The killer later disposed of the body in the dustbin and left.
CCTV footage of the incident showed a man in black jeans, a black jumper, a navy blue shirt, specks, and a white cap booking the one-roomed house above a supermarket.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said they are looking for the suspect behind the murder.
He said the attendant at the premises is helping police write the probe.
Police moved the remains to the Nairobi City Morgue awaiting autopsy and identification.
This will determine the probe into the murder.
This comes weeks after the body of socialite Starlet Wahu Mwangi was found in an apartment in South B, Nairobi.
A suspect John Matara Ongoa is in custody over the murder of Wahu as police continue with the investigation.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman died after jumping off the third floor of an apartment in the Langata area, Nairobi.
The woman identified as Nelvin Museti stayed alone at the Ascort Apartment.
Neighbors said they heard a thud outside at about 5 am after the woman had jumped off from the third floor of the house.
The motive is yet to be established.
She fell at the back side of the building after jumping from the balcony and died instantly.
Police who visited the scene said the body had no physical injuries. Blood was oozing from her nose.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
Police say they want to establish if the woman was killed and pushed out to look like suicide.
