A 45-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband to death over a family squabble.
The incident which occurred in Waldai, Belgut Sub-county involved the deceased, Caleb Rugut, and his wife Irene Rugut.
The chief area John Koech said the two started quarreling when Caleb arrived home.
The quarrel turned into a physical confrontation.
The woman is reported to have picked up the knife and stabbed the husband in the chest, killing him on the spot in the process.
The incident was reported at Kapsoit police station and the man’s body was moved to Kericho Referral Hospital mortuary.
Their 15-year-old son was taken in for questioning.
