Despite being associated with the Kibaki political legacy, Jimmy himself has not contested any political seat. However, he actively participated in his father’s presidential campaigns. In an interview, Jimmy revealed the close relationship between President Kibaki and the Kenyattas, emphasizing his father’s strong support for Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential aspirations.
In 2021, Jimmy made a notable political move by joining The Democrats Party as the deputy party leader, showcasing a potential interest in political activities.
