Lamu County Commissioner Louis Kipngetich Ronoh Has Passed Away


Lamu County Commissioner Louis Kipngetich Ronoh has passed away after battling an illness, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to his nation and community.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki expressed his condolences, acknowledging Rono’s 28 years of unwavering service to the country.

He remarked, “Rono served the country with patriotism and dedication for 28 years without blemish.”

Throughout his career, Rono exhibited distinction in various roles and locations, as highlighted by Kindiki.

Notably, he led Lamu County’s Security and Intelligence Team in efforts to combat terrorism within the challenging terrain of Boni Forest.

Reflecting on Rono’s commitment, Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo described him as a diligent and dedicated National Government Administrative Officer (NGAO).

Omollo emphasized Rono’s selflessness, stating, “He will be remembered for his selflessness in the service of others and the country.”

Lamu West MP Stanley Muthama paid tribute to Rono’s integral role within the community, particularly in matters concerning security, public participation, peace, cohesion, and integration.

Muthama offered his condolences, stating, “I pass my heartfelt condolences to his family and those who interacted with him in the line of duty.”

Rono’s passing marks a significant loss for Lamu County, leaving behind memories of a committed public servant who dedicated his life to the betterment of his nation and community.
