Prion Warden Arrested After Being Found With 14 Blank Bullets In His House


A prison warden was arrested after he was found with 14 blank bullets in his Mwihoko house, in Nairobi.

The officer who is in Nairobi Remand Prison was detained after an investigation led police to his house.

Such bullets are used for training purposes. They can however harm if shot at close range.

The motive for his keeping the bullets in the house is yet to be established.

And police in Mwea, Embu County are under probe after shooting dead a man in a confrontation.

Police said a team of officers was on patrol when they were confronted by a mob opposed to operations against alcohol Kiandai shopping center.

This forced one of the officers to shoot and fatally wounded a man.

The middle-aged man was fatally shot in the head with the bullet exiting to the upper side of the head.

The firearm an AK.47 with 22 rounds involved in the shooting was kept in safe custody as an exhibit.
