Police have caught the main suspect linked to the disturbing murders found at Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency.
The suspect is Collins Jomaisi Khalisia from Vihiga County.
He is accused of dumping multiple victims, including his wife, in a quarry last year.
Khalisia, who is 33 years old, was arrested at a nightclub in Kayole with many SIM cards.
Police think these cards might have been used in his alleged crimes.
They believe Khalisia killed the victims and wrapped their bodies in plastic bags found at the dumpsite.
After his arrest, he was taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kiambu for further questioning.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja said on Sunday that authorities have recovered eight bodies and twelve body parts from the dumpsite as they continue to investigate this tragic incident.
Families looking for missing loved ones have started going to the Nairobi Funeral Home, previously known as City Mortuary.
They hope to identify and take back the remains of their relatives among those found.
The arrest of Khalisia is a major development in a case that has deeply shocked the community and raised concerns about safety in the area.
Authorities are working hard to gather more evidence and piece together what happened leading to these terrible deaths.
Governor Sakaja assured the public that everything possible is being done to get justice for the victims and their families.
As the investigation moves forward, the community is still anxious, dealing with the aftermath of such a horrifying discovery.
Police urge anyone with information about the case to step forward and help bring closure to those affected by these senseless acts of violence.
