Hon. Mithika Linturi Resigns From United Democratic Alliance (UDA)

In a dramatic turn of events, Hon. Mithika Linturi has officially announced his resignation from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), citing a deepening disillusionment with the party’s leadership and its failure to uphold its founding principles.

In a statement detailing his resignation, Linturi expressed his belief in the initial philosophy and ideology of UDA, which he championed when he joined the party.

However, he lamented that under the leadership of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, UDA had deviated from its original mission, values, and objectives.

“Political parties are established under firm philosophies that bind voluntary members. Such ideals are meant to be lived and practiced.

It was the philosophy of UDA and its commitment to a better ideology that I believed in when I became a member and championed,” Linturi stated.

However, Linturi further asserted that UDA had failed to live up to its promises, comparing the party’s current state to the biblical Tower of Babel.

He described the party as having shown “total contempt for the people and the great Republic of Kenya” over the past two years under its current leadership.

“Over the past two years of its leadership under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, UDA has shown total contempt to the people and the great Republic of Kenya,” Linturi remarked.

He went on to criticize the party for tolerating corruption, abduction, and the brutal murder of young people, as well as for imposing excessive taxes on Kenyans.

Linturi also accused UDA of failing to respect the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of women and children, calling it a “party that does not listen to the people.”

“It is in this realization that I, Hon. Mithika Linturi, a patriotic Kenyan, tender my resignation as a member of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) with immediate effect,” Linturi concluded.

His resignation marks a significant development within the political landscape, as it reflects growing dissatisfaction with the direction the party has taken under the leadership of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

It also raises questions about the future of UDA as it navigates its internal challenges and the broader political environment in Kenya.
