Police Impostor Arrested In Kayole; Assorted Government Stores Recovered


In a meticulously planned operation based on actionable intelligence, a joint team comprising Njiru Sierra One and Kayole 5 undercover officers successfully apprehended a suspected police imposter and two accomplices within Nairobi’s Eastlands area.

The early morning operation targeted several neighborhoods including Nyama Villa, CMM Soweto, and Umoja Three-Kwa Maji.

During the sting, officers arrested Daniel Mori Mohere, a 30-year-old male of Kuria origin, who had been masquerading as a police officer.

Alongside him, two accomplices were also taken into custody: Julius Marwa Chacha, a 59-year-old Kuria male, and Caroline Mweni Nzomo, a 27-year-old female of Kamba origin.

According to police sources, a cache of assorted police uniforms and other government stores was recovered during the operation.

Authorities believe the suspects may have used the uniforms in criminal activities, including impersonation and unauthorized operations.

The suspects are currently in custody and will be arraigned in court.

Investigations are ongoing, and police have recorded and secured an inventory of all recovered items, which will be presented as exhibits during prosecution.

The case is being handled by STAPOL Kayole under P.B.C (Police Base Case) reference.

Law enforcement authorities have reiterated their commitment to rooting out criminal elements exploiting police identity for illegal gain, and have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity involving impersonators or misuse of official uniforms.
