A watchman, 46, was Sunday night killed in a robbery and violence where 18 motorcycles and 30 mobile phones were stolen.
Migori county police commander Mark Wanjala said the watchman identified as James was found lying in front of a broken shop with injuries.
The preliminary investigation, according to the police indicates that James was attacked by an unknown gang.
Wanjala said the gang broke into the shop and stole 18 motorcycles and 30 mobile phones.
He said the police had launched an investigation to find the suspects.
The county police commander called on the public to help in getting the perpetrators.
