Police launched investigations after the body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Nairobi River in Dandora Phase 4.
The incident was reported on March 8, 2026 at around 8:30 a.m. after the body was spotted along the river at the Gitare Marigo area.
Police visited the scene and retrieved the body of a middle-aged man from the riverbank.
Upon examination, police discovered the body had multiple deep cuts on the head, chest, neck and back, injuries that investigators say are inconsistent with drowning and are believed to have been inflicted using sharp objects.
Detectives suspect the man may have been killed elsewhere upstream, after which the body was dumped into the swollen river and carried by the current to the location where it was discovered.
The scene was processed by crime scene investigators and the body moved to Nairobi Funeral Home awaiting identification and postmortem examination.
In Samburu, Kwale County, a 25-year-old man drowned in a water pan he was swimming in.
He was identified as Matano Mwindi. Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.
In Naisambu, Trans Nzoia County, a bodaboda rider was stabbed and killed in a robbery incident.
The rider had carried two pillion passengers from Kitale Town to Red Cross area when they turned out to be thugs and fatally stabbed him.
The suspects escaped with his motorcycle.
The body of Bernard Wekesa, 23 was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Police said they were pursuing the assailants.
In Songor, Kisumu Couty, a man identified as Isaac Kipsang was killed in an argument with four other men.
This was after he allegedly bit another man in the lips seriously injuring him in the argument.
The other suspects clobbered him to death in the Sunday incident.
Police said one suspect was arrested over the incident as the body was moved to the mortuary.
