A leader of a gang linked to crime in Nakuru was Thursday arrested by police.
Jackson Marucha Obedi Yasin alias Rogers was nabbed in a police operation in Msalaba, Nakuru East in possession of dangerous weapons, police said.
Police said he is believed to be a leader of a splinter of Confirm gang called Wa TZ.
The gang has been linked to many atrocities and killings in Nakuru, police said.
At the time of his arrest, he had two knives believed to be used in committing his crimes.
Nakuru police boss Peter Mwanzo said police are investigating him over various crimes of robbery and murder.
In August this year, police arrested another ring leader of the dreaded ‘Confirm’ gang, and recovered drugs in his house.
Dickson Macharia Waithera, alias Deco, was arrested during an operation in the city.
Nakuru has been experiencing an increase in organized crime.
The gang has been blamed for a number of murders and muggings in the town.
