At least seven people were Tuesday killed following a tragic road accident at Ngata Bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Ten other people sustained serious injuries, police said.

The accident involved a trailer and several matatus.

Witnesses said the scene of the accident is the same spot where several people, including students at the nearby Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, died on the spot in a dawn accident on November 26.

Several others were injured in the accident and admitted to several hospitals around the area.

The area is taken to be a black spot, police said and urged caution on drivers.

The injured were taken to hospitals in the city.
