Tragedy struck a village in Kiambu when two men who had been hired to deepen a 50 feet well drowned therein.The first victim to suffocate in the well was Kelvin Marothe who had gone therein to help clean the water point and deepen it on November 8.His colleague who was helping in pulling out the debris from the well said Marothe became unresponsive to his calls and directives.They had been hired by the owner of a home to deepen the well after it dried up in producing water.According to witnesses, it was then that the colleague raised alarm saying he…

Mystery surrounds an incident in which a 39-year-old man killed himself moments after stabbing his 30-year-old girlfriend in an apartment in Juja town, Kiambu County.Juja Sub-county police commander Phyllis Muthoni said Daniel Mwangi stabbed his girlfriend Jane Njogu in the back and in the stomach using a kitchen knife where she bled to death.Mwangi went ahead to slit his throat in an attempt to take his own life.Police who were called to the scene rushed him to Thika Level 5 Hospital where he succumbed.Police found the body of the lady lying in a pool of blood with four stab wounds…

Tragedy struck a police camp in Lamu when a member of an elite squad operating there died by suicide.The body of Edwin Kuria was found in a makeshift house he and other colleagues stayed.He had apparently used an AK47 rifle assigned to his colleague to end his life on November 8 at about 4pm.His colleagues said Kuria who belonged to the Special Operations Group that is operating in Lamu used a burst of four bullets to end his life.At the scene, the lifeless body was found lying in a pool of blood in a house that officers used for shelter.It…
