The bodies of three boys who went missing on Sunday were Tuesday retrieved from a shallow dam at Ololairo village, Kajiado county.
The three boys aged eight, 10, and 12 years went to the river on Sunday evening to fetch water but did not return to their parent’s homes, only for their clothes to be discovered near the shallow dam.
A combined team of Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) and volunteers immediately embarked on an operation to recover the bodies leading to the recovery of the bodies Tuesday.
Kajiado South Sub County police commander Shadrack Ruto termed the incident unfortunate and called on parents to monitor their children’s activities to avert such incidents.
The three bodies were moved to Loitoktok Sub-county hospital awaiting post-mortem.
