

Four pupils subjected to an indecent act by teachers in Itumbe DOK Primary School in Kisii County have been rescued by children officers.
In the video that sparked public uproar, the young boys in school uniforms were compelled by their teachers to commit an indecent act while lying on top of each other as the teachers laughed out loud in the background.
The children were rescued by the police and the Children’s officers this afternoon and taken to Nyamache Children’s home for safety and protection.
The children’s department from Nyamache took drastic measures to rescue the victims after the case attracted a huge public interest to protect the children’s mental health.
“The department is aware, and it has taken drastic measures over this case,” a children’s officer said.
Six teachers involved in the disturbing video were arrested and appeared before the court on Thursday.
The six, Drucella Moraa, 48; Angelicah Masiah, 33; Catherine Mokeira, 38; Wiliam Isoka, 46; Gladys Kwamoka, 50; Evaline Moraa, 47 and Obadiah Nyaribo, 33, appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Biwott will remain in custody until Friday when the court will make a ruling on their bail.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Thursday suspended five of them.
