Comedian Eric Omondi and 16 others were Wednesday arraigned taking part in an unlawful assembly on parliament road.
It was alleged that on February 21 at Parliament Road they took part in an unlawful assembly.
They denied the charge and were released on an Sh20,000 bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh 10,000.
Their lawyer Danstan Omari asked for lenient bail terms
Omari told Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina the victims are content creators adding that Omondi is a Kenyan global brand
He said they went to parliament to get a solution to the current high cost of living and told the court to take judicial notice that 6 million are on the verge of starving.
He told the court the men represented 55 million Kenyans at parliament to tell MPs to do something on the issue.
The case will be mentioned on March 6, 2023, for pre-trial.
