Lynet Watiri Njihia, popularly known as Lynne Njihia, the fiancée of comedian Eric Omondi and mother of his child, recently shared insights into their relationship, including how they first crossed paths.
In an interview with Nairobi News, Njihia disclosed that their initial encounter occurred while they were both engaged in their daily activities.
She recounted auditioning for a role in one of Eric Omondi‘s sketches in 2020, which served as the catalyst for their relationship.
“We met in Karen when we were working together. It was our first meeting and the chemistry was instant. It was the first week of April 2020.
A friend introduced me to one of his skits, and I went to the shoot not knowing it was for Eric Omondi,” she explained.
Despite Omondi’s public persona as a comedian, Njihia described him as quiet and shy, emphasizing that their relationship transcended his on-stage persona.
“When he told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend, I took him seriously. I am dating Eric Otieno, not the comedian Eric Omondi that everyone knows. I know when he is serious, and when we had that conversation, I knew he was serious about everything,” she added.
Reflecting on her upbringing, Njihia revealed that she was raised in a single-parent household in Thika town.
Despite the absence of a father figure, she emphasized the profound impact of her mother’s unwavering love and support throughout her upbringing.
Njihia also discussed her fitness journey, highlighting her dedication to achieving personal health goals. “I started working out as part of my resolutions for 2024.
This is my fourth month, and the results are amazing. I was 67kg and now I am 62kg. My target is 58kg with a flat stomach. That is the goal,” she expressed.
Njihia’s candid revelations provide a glimpse into her personal life and her relationship with Eric Omondi, offering fans a deeper understanding of the couple beyond their public personas.
