A 16-year-old boy was found dead in a shed in a village in Kericho County after he had been kicked and trampled on by a cow he tried to engage in bestiality.
But police say they are investigating the incident.
The boy who is in form three in a local school is suspected to have tried to have sex with a cow in the shed when it turned and killed him on July 4 morning.
His body was found lying in the cow shed long after the incident, police said.
The deceased’s body was found with visible injuries on his left jaw suspected to have been inflicted by the cow.
It is believed it kicked him while in the act and after he fell it again hit him in the jaw.
Police said a polythene paper bag was also found tied around the deceased’s penis.
This gave an indication of attempted bestiality that went bad, police said.
The body was removed to Kapkatet Sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
This will tell how he died.
Elsewhere in Mukuru slums, Nairobi, police said they are investigating the discovery of a male body in a house.
The body was identified as that of James Muthama. Police say they are yet to establish the cause of the death and that an autopsy is planned on the body.
