Detectives are investigating an incident in which a gang of four raided a shop and robbed attendants of Sh150,000 in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.
The gang went to Anwara Foodstuffs Ltd situated within Ankara Apartment along Jam Street and staged the robbery on Monday February 3 evening.
Workers were down loading wheat flour from a trailer, which had blocked the entrance of the shop when four men posing as customers came in and brandished a pistol.
They then grabbed the day’s sales of Sh150,000, three mobile phones and a laptop before escaping.
Meanwhile, a man collapsed and died outside a bar he had been in Ngumo, Nairobi.
Police said the body of Michael Kibet Rono was found outside the bar after the incident.
He was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Elsewhere in Ziwani area, Nairobi, a 41-year-old woman was found dead in her room.
The woman identified as Caroline Wendi had asked her neighbours to make her porridge before she was found dead.
The neighbor said when he took the porridge to the woman, he found her unresponsive.
The incident happened on Monday evening and police said they are investigating the same.
The woman stayed alone in a single room.
And in the Pangani area, a man collapsed and died as he worked at a construction site.
The man identified as Michael Lenga, 35 was among a group of workers at a construction site and had been laying tiles when he collapsed on Monday evening.
Witnesses said he started to bleed from his nose before he collapsed and died.
He was rushed to a hospital in the area where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
