Afrobeats sensation Davido is currently being investigated by Nigerian authorities after singer Tiwa Savage filed a complaint accusing him of intimidation and threats.
The tension between these two prominent musicians emerged when Tiwa posted a picture of herself with the mother of one of Davido’s children on her Instagram story last month.
In her police report, Tiwa claims that Davido perceived the post as a taunt and responded with “disrespectful, malicious, and derogatory words” directed at her.

Tiwa further alleges that Davido went a step further by sending individuals to caution her to “be careful in Lagos,” which she interprets as a violation of her rights to life, privacy, and dignity.
As of now, Davido has not responded to the accusations. Interestingly, both artists have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Confirming the initiation of investigations, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos state police, informed the BBC that they have received Tiwa’s report and are actively looking into the matter.
