The Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin, Thursday hosted a meeting bringing together the Directorate’s top command including Directors, Regional and formation commanders.
Amin held consultative meeting with the top commanders following recent deployments and redeployments of senior officers, aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Directorate in responding to the prevailing security challenges.
The meeting at the DCI headquarters was also aimed at creating synergies to deal with the emerging criminal gangs terrorising innocent members of the public in different parts of the country, and coming up with lasting solutions to this challenge, officials said.
Amin called on the senior officers to crack the whip against the criminals firmly and utilise the tools of trade provided by the government in ensuring that the lives and property of the people we serve are protected.
Chief also told them to ensure that detectives in their respective commands acted fairly, with integrity and in strict fidelity to the law.

This he said was the surest way of guaranteeing justice to all Kenyans.
Amin also apprised the senior commanders of his vision for a professional agency that is responsible to the security needs and requirements of every Kenyan, and urged them to support him towards the its realisation.
More reorganization is on the way that May see crack units formed to address some complex cases in the country.
These include murder, forgery, robbery and rape. They are on the rise.
