This action follows closely on the heels of the EACC’s successful recovery of Sh.47 million that had been embezzled from the County Assembly of Homa Bay between 2015 and 2017.
The anti-corruption body disclosed that the funds were misappropriated through a deceitful scheme orchestrated by the assembly’s former clerk, Bob Kephat Otieno, along with his wife and a local bank manager.
