A tragic incident on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway has resulted in the loss of one life and serious injuries to four people.
The accident occurred near the Twin area of Kuresoi South, a location that has sadly become known for frequent accidents.
According to witnesses, the driver of a trailer seemed to struggle with control due to heavy rain, leading to a head-on collision with an oncoming lorry while descending a hill.
One witness who saw the accident unfold shared their experience, saying, “I was one of the people who witnessed the accident, and I managed to help some people, several of whom had sustained injuries and fractures.
We don’t know what needs to be done here because accidents here have been on the rise, we appeal to drivers drive slowly when descending this hill”
Shortly after the collision, traffic police officers from Mausummit arrived at the scene to coordinate the removal of the damaged vehicles.
The injured victims were quickly transported to Molo Subcounty Hospital and Nakuru Level V Hospital, while the body of the deceased was taken to the morgue at Molo Subcounty Hospital.
