
Police are investigating an incident in which a tout died after a fight with a hawker over non-payment of Sh40 for egg and sausage.
The body of Geoffrey Mutuku Kamaso, 27 died after he was punched in the face and fell on the ground in the Kamukunji area, Nairobi.
Police and witnesses said the two had argued over non-payment of the food that Mutuku had failed to pay for.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said the deceased fell on the ground and injured his head, dying on the spot.
The suspect who is a known food hawker in the area was arrested pending investigations.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending further investigations.
Food hawking is popular in the area and most of the consumers are touts and drivers.
