The Information and Communications Technology Authority (ICT Authority) has announced 400 internship positions available for recent university graduates under the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) Cohort IX.
The announcement was made in the Tuesday edition of My Gov.
The PDTP internship program, which will last for 12 months, offers opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
The available positions are distributed across various fields: 150 vacancies in network and digital infrastructure.
100 in software development and AI, 50 in information security, 50 in multimedia (graphic design), 50 in digital marketing, and 50 in data analysis.
To qualify, applicants must have graduated with a First or Upper Second-Class Honours degree from a recognized institution within the past two years, from January 2022 onwards.
Those who are awaiting graduation until December 2024 must provide a recommendation or reference letter from their university.
Along with a transcript indicating they are set to receive First or Upper Second-Class Honours.
Eligible candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or Engineering (Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Software)
And must possess strong knowledge in their core area of specialization.
This includes network and digital infrastructure, software development and AI, information security, multimedia (graphic design), digital marketing, and data analytics.
Applicants may need to demonstrate their technical competencies related to their specialization during the interview process.
Candidates must be Kenyan youths aged between 21 and 29 years and should be unemployed.
They should not have participated in any other government internship programs, including those by the Public Service Commission.
Additionally, applicants must be prepared to work full-time from 8 am to 5 pm and may be deployed to any government organization across Kenya’s 47 counties.
The ICT Authority encourages female candidates, persons with disabilities, and graduates from ASAL regions to apply.
