Mike Nyagwoka, a prominent newsreader at Radio Maisha, has announced his departure from the station, which is part of the Standard Group.
In a heartfelt post on his Facebook page, Nyagwoka reflected on his journey and shared his experiences during his time at the station.
Nyagwoka revealed that he had actually left Radio Maisha around a month ago but chose now to make the news public.
He reminisced about his final day at the station, stating, “When I left for home after work on July 31, 2024, I had no idea it would be my last day there.
If it had been my choice, I would have stayed a bit longer, but decisions were made, and I had to follow them.”
In his message, Nyagwoka expressed pride in his tenure at Radio Maisha, highlighting the significance of his role there.
He noted, “Radio Maisha was a remarkable journey where I demonstrated that one can overcome obstacles and chase their dreams.
I am proud of the brand I helped build and the work I did. My aim was to leave a meaningful legacy, and I believe I have accomplished that.”
Looking ahead, Nyagwoka conveyed optimism about the future, acknowledging the new opportunities that lie ahead.
“We live in an era filled with possibilities, and I am hopeful about finding the right motivation to stay engaged.
I also look forward to new opportunities coming my way,” he said.
Nyagwoka’s departure comes shortly after his colleague, Esther Mwende Macharia, also left Radio Maisha after 14 years with the station.
