A man in his middle age has been handed a 20-year prison sentence for the sexual abuse of a minor.
The judgment was passed by a Kangundo court on Wednesday, leading to the imprisonment of Micah Mutua Mule, who was found guilty of defiling a minor.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) revealed that Mutua committed the crime on July 1, 2020, at Kwa Matingi Kambi in Kisukuoni Location, Matungulu Sub-county, Machakos County.

Principal Magistrate Daffline Sure, in her ruling, affirmed that the prosecution, represented by Prosecution Counsel Vivianne Nyangena and Mirriam Mwaura, successfully presented a compelling case within the legal standards.
The court highlighted that four prosecution witnesses provided corroborative evidence against the accused.
Moreover, Micah Mutua Mule failed to clear himself of the charges, leaving the court with no option but to convict and sentence him following the law.
