Police authorities are looking for a rape suspect who escaped from custody at a police post in Ngong, Kajiado County.
The suspect identified as Venom Wekesa Musila, 23 was arrested for rape and detained at the Ole Roimen police post on Monday, January 30 evening before he escaped.
Police say he told police on duty he wanted to for a long call before one of them decided to escort him.
And as he was being escorted, he turned violent and attacked the officer flooring him.
The suspect escaped on foot leaving the office on the floor.
Police said the officer was detained for grilling over the incident.
Cases of escape of suspects from custody have been on the rise in the past few days.
Two weeks ago, two suspects escaped from custody at Kayole police station. Police who were on duty are under interrogation over the incident as the hunt for the suspects goes on.
