The Media Council of Kenya Friday condemned the murder of Standard Media Group journalist Moses Omusolo who was found killed on the roadside in Nairobi.
Omusolo, who worked as a business reporter, was found dead inside an open trench along Kangundo Road, Kayole on Wednesday night.
Police said the journalist had suffered a cut on the head, and his mobile phone and personal identification documents were found intact at the scene of the crime.
It is believed he was killed elsewhere and his body dumped at the scene.
The Media Council asked police to conduct speedy investigations into the death of Omusolo, and instigate appropriate judicial action against the perpetrators.
The journalist recently got engaged and was planning to wed in February 2023.
Police are yet to establish the motive behind the killing of Omusolo.
