A family is mourning after a minor died as she was being fed in Nairobi’s Kayole area.
A woman said her one-year-old baby girl was choked and killed as she fed her.
The woman said she was feeding the minor when she choked on Thursday.
The baby developed difficulties in breathing, prompting the woman to rush her to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said they are investigating the incident.
Elsewhere, a trolley pusher collapsed and died as he delivered luggage to a client along Koinange Street, Nairobi.
Police said they were Thursday February 27 called on Thursday and informed that the man identified as Wakaria Kaburu, 61 had collapsed and died at the scene.
Police visited the scene and facilitated the movement of the body to the mortuary after his relatives identified him.
Police said they are yet to establish the cause of the death and an autopsy was planned to determine the same.
In Lungalunga, Nairobi, the body of a man was found on a perimeter wall of a residential house after a suspected murder.
Police said the man is believed to have been hit in the head by unknown assailants on Thursday afternoon.
The body had visible head injuries and blood oozing from nose, ear and mouth.
A blood-stained stone suspected to be the one used to inflict injuries was recovered.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
In Magarini, Kilifi County, a man was clobbered to death in his house.
Police said the body of Kaingu Mure Mweri, 63 was found in his house after the murder.
He was assaulted by unknown individuals while armed with crude weapons at his homestead.
Police visited the scene and found the lifeless body with three deep cuts on the forehead and in a pool of blood.
The body was taken to the Malindi Sub-County Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.
No arrest has been made over the murder, police said.
An investigation has been opened into the incident.
