Missing Mombasa Taxi Driver Discovered Unconscious In Migori

A female taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua Muloki, who had been missing since accepting a passenger ride in Mombasa, has been found in Migori.

According to Police Spokesperson Resila Onyango, Muloki was discovered unconscious near a dam in the Uriri area on Monday evening.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Muloki had sustained multiple injuries, including a head wound likely caused by a blunt object and a stab wound to her hand.

Onyango also stated that there are indications Muloki may have been sexually assaulted.

The victim was rushed to Uriri Sub-county Hospital in critical condition and was awaiting airlift to Nairobi for specialized medical treatment.

Her family has been informed about her condition.

Earlier, on Sunday, police arrested a suspect in connection with Muloki’s disappearance.

The suspect was found in Nakuru in possession of Muloki’s vehicle, which had been intercepted.

Police investigations suggest Muloki did not pick up the client using a ride-hailing app, as was initially believed.

The last communication Muloki had with her family was a call from Samburu, Kwale, where she had mentioned her location before vanishing.
