“The grounds have been cordoned off and declared a danger zone. Although there are no confirmed deaths, several people are still missing,” Kenya Red Cross stated in a Twitter post, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

This tragedy strikes shortly after another calamity hit the region, as approximately 40 casualties were recorded in Kamuchiri Mai Mahiu Village, Nakuru County, due to heavy floods triggered by intense rainfall.
