Murkomen Warns Against Political Violence, Promises Action

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has condemned rising cases of political violence and goonism, saying those responsible will face the law regardless of their political side.

He urged political leaders to promote tolerance and focus on issue-based politics that can positively engage young people and support national development.

Murkomen said security agencies are already working to arrest those involved and asked the Judiciary to handle such cases firmly to discourage future violence.

He spoke during the Cherangany Unity Cup finals in Sinyerere Ward, Trans-Nzoia County, a grassroots football tournament aimed at nurturing youth talent and encouraging positive behavior.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli and MPs Kakai Bisau, Robert Pukose, and Lilian Siyoi were among leaders present at the event.
