The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) has launched an upgraded shortcode service to enhance customer experience.
The new Self Care USSD Code *260# is designed to streamline access to a range of services for customers.
With this new feature, users can easily register or deregister for e-bills, update their contact information, check and pay their bills, apply for water and sewer services, and track the status of their applications.
NWSC Managing Director Nahashon Muguna highlighted that the introduction of this shortcode represents a significant advancement in service delivery.
“This new code is a major milestone in improving how our customers interact with us,” Muguna noted.
Additionally, NWSC has introduced a toll-free customer support line at 0800724366, allowing customers to contact the call center without incurring any charges.
“These innovations reflect our commitment to using technology to enhance customer service and streamline our processes,” Muguna added.
As Nairobi’s primary provider of water and sewerage services, NWSC aims to align its operations with national standards and development plans.
The company is guided by the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the National Water Master Plan 2030, developed by the Kenyan government.
It also supports various multi-sectoral projects aimed at ensuring sustainable water and sanitation services in line with Vision 2030,
The Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Masterplan (NIUPLAN), and other strategic frameworks including the Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan (2018-2022) and the Sustainable Development Goals under Agenda 2030.
By implementing these upgrades, NWSC continues to pursue its goal of delivering efficient and accessible water and sewerage services to Nairobi’s residents.
