Residents of Kibunja, Molo Sub-county, Nakuru County, were Friday left shocked after a woman was found to be holding onto her husband’s body for over a week.
It is suspected that the man died over a week before the discovery of his body lying on the bed where his wife is believed to have been spending the night as well.
Officials said they suspect the woman is mentally ill.
Residents claim they were forced to inspect the woman’s house after the man went missing for a while.
Police said they are investigating the incident to establish how the man died.
The body was moved by police officers from Molo police station as an investigation go on.
A postmortem will be done to ascertain the cause of death.
The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
