Authorities report that Ivyine Cheptoo was brutally attacked with a panga, resulting in her head being severed.
The attack took place in the couple’s bedroom, and her body was discovered lying in a pool of blood.
The panga, covered in blood, was found at the scene.
The motive behind the gruesome act remains unclear as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Chesumei continues to gather evidence to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
In a separate case, authorities are also looking into a suicide in Manga sub-county, Gianche village.
Jared Onkoba Nyaberi, 42, was found hanging from a rope tied to a rafter inside his home.
The body has been transported to a funeral home for an autopsy.
