One person has been confirmed dead and 12 others injured following a tragic accident involving a truck carrying LPG in the Mai Mahiu area.
Police reports indicate that the truck, which was transporting liquefied petroleum gas, lost control and collided with several vehicles.
Among the affected vehicles was a minibus carrying 14 people, which rolled into a nearby valley.
The minibus was en route to Rongo for a funeral at the time of the accident.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, but the severity of the crash resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries.
