The Immigration Department has good news for passport applicants.

They say that more than 70,000 passports are now ready for you to pick up.

The head of the Immigration Department, Prof. Julius Bitok, shared this information with the media.

He mentioned that the government began a program called the “30-day Rapid Results Initiative” on September 25th.

This program aimed to speed up the process of giving out 87,454 passports at Nyayo House.

Since then, they have printed 131,916 passports, and 60,567 of them have already been collected by October 20th.

“These passports are available in different places around Kenya.

In Nairobi, there are 52,160 passports ready.

In Mombasa, there are 13,594.

Kisumu has 15,287 passports, Nakuru has 11,306, Eldoret has 12,289, Embu has 15,476, and Kisii has 11,354,” shared Bitok.

“Applicants are encouraged to monitor the status of their passports on the eCitizen portal and the Directorate of Immigration official communication channels,” said Bitok.

The government is determined to make the Immigration Directorate work as efficiently as possible, ensuring that services are provided as quickly as they can be.
