President William Ruto Friday appointed former governor of West Pokot John Lonyangapuo as the chairperson of the board of directors of the North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency in changes.
Ruto also revoked the appointment of David Chumba Chemweno.
In a gazette notice dated March 10, 2023, Ruto appointed Emilo Mugo to be chairperson of the board of directors of the National Environmental Management Authority.
Francis Gichamba, Raphael Muneve, Stanley Khainga, and Risper Waphhulu were picked by Ruto as Chairperson of the board of directors in Kenya Tourism, Konza Technopolis Development Authority Order, Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council, and Kenya Literature Bureau respectively.
Others picked by the head of state include Odoyo Owidi as the chair of the board of directors of the Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency, Brown Onego as chair of the board of directors of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, and Ali Menza Mbogo as chairperson LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority Board.
In the same notice, Chief Justice Martha Koome appointed Michael Karuri to be a co-opted member of the Council for Law Reporting, representing the Clerk of the National Assembly.
CS National Treasury and Economic Planning Njuguna Ndungu picked Patrick Muchoki, Ruth Wanyonyi, Barbara Kawira, Robley Otieno, Samwel Kariuki, and Christine Kibet to be members of the board of directors of the Local Authorities Provident Fund.
CS Mining Salim Mvurya picked Qalicha Guyo, Annistain Mogaka, Rishad Amana Lilian Apadet, and Ezekiel Kibor as members of the board of directors of the Kenya Maritime Authority.
Further, CS Health Susan Kihika chose three members of the board of directors of Kenyatta National Hospital including Joseph Wafula, Thomas Kipkoskei, and Catherine Kithure.
Wafula also picked Wato Doko, Mercy Cherongosi, and John Konchellah as members of the board of directors of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority.
On the other hand, CS Education Ezekiel Machogu appointed Jane Kiringai as chairperson of the council of Meru University of Science and Technology. Other members appointed to the council include Janet Afandi, Martin Kinoti, Jacob Kwamba, Lucy Rimanto, and Sylvester Kibbiwott.
