President William Ruto Friday, December 23 made a number of new appointments in parastatal boards.
Among those he appointed is the new National Hospital Insurance Fund chairman.
Ruto named former roads minister Michael Kamau as the chairman of the board and revoked that of Lewis Nguyai.
He also named Lt Gen (Rtd) Walter Raria as chairman of the Kenya Wildlife Service board, Gen (Rtd) Julius Karangi Chairperson of the National Council for Population and Development Board, Anthony Muriuki Munyiri the Chairman of the National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees and politician Walter Nyambati Chairperson of the Board of Geothermal Development Company.
He revoked the appointment of Rita Achieng Okuthe as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenva Pipeline Company Limited and appointed Faith Boinett to the position.
Job Chirchir was named the chairperson of the Kenya Forest Service.
Officials said more appointments and revocations in the same are expected in February next year.
Most of those being removed were appointed by former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
