President William Ruto says he will work with the County Government of Mombasa and other partners to accelerate the delivery of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone.
This he said is in appreciation that the facility holds the power to create employment, promote investments and foster Kenya’s competitiveness.
He made the remarks when he held a session with partners and potential investors of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone at State House, Mombasa.
He also said the upgrading of the Port of Mombasa will boost its container capacity and operational efficiencies, regaining its repute as East Africa’s gateway to trade. “This will create more jobs and further prosperity for the people of the Coastal region.”
He toured the Port of Mombasa and paid a courtesy call to the Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir at his office, Mombasa County on Friday.
